Most of the colleges state serious policy beyond cheating which is to expel students from the learning environment. Students should not be expelled from college for cheating. There is no reason to expel students from college for cheating because they will not learn anything from that experience. Also, it influences students, it causes lack of education, and expelled students will be characterized negatively at the college. Typically, expelled students will be not prepared for their academic and career future. Students should not be expelled for cheating. Education is based on learning, educating, and informing students with new information, if students expelled for cheating they will not learn anything from that experience. College policy for students who cheat is to expel them for the purpose of improve their bad behavior and to reinforce their honesty manner. Unfortunately, students who stay at home will have free time that they will waste it on fun. As a matter of fact, they are going to lose their learning motivation staying at home without doing anything lead students to be lazy and inactive. Expel students who cheated is not beneficial for them because it causes loss of learning passion. Expelling students only for cheating goes on serious consequences which affect students personality, likewise it may lead to lose their self-esteem too. For instance, students who stay at home feel disappointed, as far they expulsion demonstrates their weakness which results losing of confidence, trust in their creativeness, and delay students ability in reaching their potential. Consequently, students enthusiasm of being educated will be destroyed and it will create feelings of anger and hate education. Thus, expulsion omits their challenge of learning and robs students from their opportunities to be competent. It influences students badly and damages their hope of good education future. Nevertheless, dismissed students will have negative character within the learning environment around. Students will have restricted relationships with people around in college. Further they will try to preserve their image yet their ethics but nonetheless plagiarizing defrauds instructors and other students of false view toward students who cheated. Those students sense of being discarded, dismissed, and rejected from other students and instructors. Expulsion for cheating consider as an academic violation reported on students official academic transcripts, to illustrate it interferes their ability to transfer to another college. As well, that will prevent students from finishing their college degrees so they will never be accepted to get re-admission. As well, going to college is a chance to develop independence and personal skills through practicing new activities. Obviously education is the key of success in particular life, and in other words knowledge is power and great power brings great responsibility to obtain future possibilities. For instance, college enhances knowledge with skills that it provides to prepare students for their profession goal. Being uneducated limits career opportunities because without education degrees students will not be hired for a good job position. Education expands youth knowledge in order to promote students academic achievement and ethical development. Expelling students does not solve the problem and it must not be the first option because it is not helpful for them. However instead of that there are possible solutions to change students by giving them other chances to think honestly to recover. Whenever College provides several services to support students that will help them attain their success honestly. Once students receive appropriate help that they need, they will exceed the need of cheat. Another option is to give students first warning and chance to make up the assignment again. Then students should receive a failing grade for copied work or the assignment. That is students should be expelled from the whole course not from the college. Even so, college main goal is educating students as much as it can and learning them specific skills that form lifelong working habits according to each student unique abilities. Everyone deserves better chances to exhibit best, those expelled students may be professionals, smart, creative, study well, disciplines and hard worker. Who knows they may were under pressure or may face problems with their families, so they may found cheating is way to skip these difficult situations in their life. Indeed, students are responsible of their behavior at college, they are supposed to handle their mistakes and apologize for them and college has to treat them fairly. As the college has rights and polices students have rights too, college cares about its students so it must interview them after caught them cheating. I think colleges must look after the consequences of expulsion because it affects many sides in the society and cause very serious extreme problem which is unemployment. Students should not be expelled from college for cheating because it is not beneficial for them. Knowing cheating take a place is not enough reason to expel students, it must be taken as a final extreme punishment. Expulsion wastes students time, confuses their self-steam, and it marks students as bad people. Besides that, they lose their ambitions toward their educational degree which reduces their chances for good job positions in society. On the contrary if the college try forming new polices that breaks down losing students, it could control their behavior and benefit them. That will enriches the college efficiency and raises students capability to be creative, talented, and smartness. College students will increase their risk of cheating awareness and will avoid violating any college right. Students attend college to support their knowledge and promote it for better social life in future.

When Average People Experience Hard Times

When Average People Experience Hard Times Free Online Research Papers Winston Churchill once said, â€Å"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.† Now Churchill would enjoy the following three stories of average men going through tragic accidents and hard times. The three stories are: â€Å"Willing to Pay the Price†, â€Å"Yes, You Can†, and â€Å"The Cowboy’s Story†. These stories prove that people have come out on top in extraordinary circumstances. They faced the odds and never gave up hope. One man went through two tragic accidents which left him in a wheel chair and his body sixty-five percent burned. Another is a country man who moved to a city and became stuck in a dead end job. The final story is about a man who fights for his freedom. â€Å"Willing to Pay the Price† is a great story that anyone could learn from. Le Van Vu always found a way to prosper. He played important roles in whatever he was doing. He found a way to escape from prison. Le even killed five men to return home after being captured by the North. Le and his wife made it through all of their problems together. After all that has happened to him Le still never gave up. â€Å"Yes, You Can† is a good short story. The man was in a motorcycle accident which burned sixty-five percent of his body. Shortly after he was in a plane accident and was paralyzed from the waist down. After all of that, he still became a well respected citizen. He never let his disabilities put him down. Mitchell still lived his life to the fullest. It seemed nothing could hold him down. â€Å"The Cowboy’s Story† Is a compelling story. The cowboy changed his goals that he made. The cowboy made his biggest dreams into reality. He kept a positive attitude and went far in the business world. The cowboy ended up owning half of the company he worked for. The theme was inspiring. It shows that anyone can do what they set their mind to. These men lived their whole life finding opportunities in difficult times, just as Churchill said. Many people go through rough times, but try walking a mile in their shoes. These were stories of getting what was wanted; stories of not letting disabilities get the best of you. There are even stories of just not letting people put you down. These are all tales of people who overcome the odds and proved everyone wrong. They didn’t care what people thought, they just did what they believed. Everyone could learn a valuable lesson from these people. That lesson is do not let anything hold you back. Job Seekers Is Your Approach Holding You Back

Job Seekers Is Your Approach Holding You Back What’s the #1 thing standing in the way of some thwarted job searchers? Unfortunately, the answer may be closer to home than expected: themselves. The contemporary job market is trickier than ever and many pitfalls exist throughout the process, but there are also plenty of opportunities†¦ if you know how to capitalize on them. Read on to learn if your approach is holding you back from the job of your dreams. One Size Fits OneBack in the good old days of dot matrix printers and snail mail submission, job applicants might send off tens (even hundreds!) of identical resumes in the hopes of reeling in a response or two. This approach in today’s market is not only a waste of time, but demonstrates a lack of insight as well as many missed opportunities. Why? Because we live in the age of instant information.Your resume and cover letter aren’t just a chance to show off your skills; rather, they’re a chance to show why your skills are a match for a particular job. The best resumes are not a comprehensive detailing of everything you’ve done for the past 25, 10 or 5 years. Rather, they’re a showcase of your most relevant experience and skills. Every single resume should be customized specifically for the job for which you’re applying. Every word is an opportunity to get noticed so take your time and make it count. It’s Not About YouA hiring manager wants to get a sense of your skills, but the truth is these are meaningless in a vacuum. Instead, your interviewer is also looking to determine how your skills will fit into their particular company and corporate culture. After all, your experience is moot if it can’t be applied in the workplace.Don’t write a cover letter or go into an interview prepared only to talk about yourself. Again, this is a missed opportunity. Instead, be prepared to demonstrate that you understand the job, the company’s needs, and the company itself. Yes, you’re m arketing yourself†¦but beyond anything else, marketers know and understand their audience.Prep and ConquerTo put it bluntly: you have no excuse not to be prepared in the age of instant information. From websites to social media, everything you could possible want to know about a prospective employer is readily available for your consumption. Use it.The most successful candidates understand the company, its culture, and its market position. The least successful candidates remain obstinately and senselessly uninformed. It may seem like a waste of time to spend hours looking into a company where you may or may not eventually work, but it’s not. Think of the pre-interview research as an investment in your future, and the knowledge you learn as an asset you’ll take with you when you’re hired.Follow Up and Follow ThroughPicture this: you’re in the middle of an interview with a manager, and the discussion is going well. You’re conversing about the jo b, and you’ve had plenty of opportunities to demonstrate your skills, talents and experience. But don’t get too comfortable: yes, the interview is a chance for the company to get to know more about you, and you to get to know more about the company. But it’s also a test, and one of the quickest ways to fail it is to forget or neglect critical follow-up. If you’re asked to provide follow-up information or thoughts during an interview, make a note and follow-up immediately. Failure to do so - no matter how impressive the interview - is likely to send your resume into the shred pile.Job hunting today is anything but general or passive. The best candidates proactively revise themselves with every single job application - not just to make an impression, but to make the impression. Meanwhile, failure to incorporate these tips into your process can result in unhappy outcomes.

Migration Coursework Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Migration - Coursework Example The elimination of wage differentials will bring the movement of labour and migration will not occur in the in the absence of such differentials. This problem only needs to be sorted out in each and every event. This theoretical view varies in different countries and governments must seek to understand different variables that will help in eliminating wage differences that cause migration. International flows of human capital in the case of highly skilled workers who seek diversity and would wish to work in countries whose estimates are slowly rising. This is usually done with an intent of establishing various factors of migration that may be difficult than that of unskilled workers. Labour markets are a special kind of markets where the primary mechanisms through the international flows of labour are induced (Massey et al 437). Other markets lack this special and accommodating feature. Lastly, a lasting solution to this foreign migration is for the Governments in charge to influence the labour markets by sending or receiving countries. Dual Labour market theory - Although neoclassical human capital theory and the new economics of migration can direct one to a divergent conclusion about the origin and nature of international migration, both are essentially micro-level decision models. Causation is cumulative in the fact that each act of migration alters the social context in which subsequent migration decisions are made, typically in ways that make additional movement more likely. This principle was proposed by Herbert A. Simon, who posited that bounded rationality is an alternative basis for the mathematical modelling of decision-making, as used in economics, political science and other related disciplines. This principle complements rationality as optimization that views decision making as a fully rational process of finding an optimal choice given the information is availed at the right time (Massey

Stakeholders of the software industry Research Paper

Stakeholders of the software industry - Research Paper Example Conspicuously, information on the quality of software products is the most sought by consumers. It is imperative that developers of software products disseminate this information not only in a timely manner but also ensure that the information publicized is accurate and detailed (Myers, 1999). To obtain this information about a product’s quality, design, requirements, and implementation, it is important that developers of software products carry out different tests at the various phases of their production line. Such testing processes not only give information on the quality of a product but also enable an independent and unprejudiced view of a product not only by its developers but also by its users (Myers, 1999). In addition, the developer of software product may have the opportunity to appreciate and understand the risks of the design, development, and execution software (Myers, 1999). Contrary to common belief among laymen, software testing extends beyond tests done to asc ertain whether a product can be executed or applied and testing to identify or discover bugs; it encompasses all the processes by which software is validated and verified. In addition, software testing seeks to establish whether a product has adhered to the design and development requirements and can be effectively executed with similar features. What is more, software testing seeks to establish whether the needs of all stakeholders have been achieved in a product (Willison, 2004). One fundamental facet of software testing is that it can be done at any stage of the development and implementation of software, depending on the type of testing advised or adopted. This paper explores the notion that software testing is used to show that software functions properly. More precisely, the paper discusses the use of software testing to prevent and/or eliminate faults associated with requirements, design, analysis, and implementation. Software Testing for Prevention of Faults Recent times hav e realized an increase in the popularity of software testing in the software development industry. Software testing in the software industry entails not only the activities in the development cycle of software but also beyond. The importance of software testing is best highlighted by the fact that quite many users have experiences of software not working as expected. Evidently, faulty software has quite huge impacts on organisations. Among the consequences of software that do not work include financial losses, time losses, damage to business reputation, injury or death for safety-critical systems (Willison, 2004). The first way by which faulty software may result in financial loss is due to non-compliance to legal requirements. Regrettably, the testing phase of software development is never accorded the seriousness it deserves from software developers and managers. This situation exists despite the fact that testing is the only way to ascertain whether an application is likely to fu nction properly after it is deployed to the market. Due to its importance in ensuring a product is correct, there are several recommended approaches to and reasons for software testing (Willison, 2004). Although it gets a little attention, software testing remains a rather integral and important phase of any project on software development. That is, it is only via software testing that a developer may ascertain whether a software project or product is poised to succeed in the market or is doomed (Willison, 2004). It is important that software developers must have an approach that focuses on functional testing, characterized by the verification of whether software
